Treasure Hunts

Treasure Hunt: Checklist & Not Spawning

Quick answer

Open the current Festival Playlist Treasure Hunt and activate its photo clue before you search. A chest that has not been unlocked by that clue can stay missing, and an expired week can remove it. Official playlist tables often list 100,000 CR; confirm the amount on this week's row. This activity is a smashable chest, not a Treasure Car.

Requirements

A Forza Horizon 6 Treasure Hunt is a weekly Festival Playlist activity. The official table names a region and tells you to follow the photo clue to discover the treasure. Those rows do not list a required car. The chest belongs to the week shown on your in-game playlist.

Region names are reused, so they are not permanent puzzles. The official Festival Playlist table has used Shimanoyama, Ito, and Takashiro for separate Treasure Hunt weeks, and it has used each of those names more than once. Horizon Meets Summer names an Ito Region hunt. A later Horizon Meets week names a Takashiro Region hunt. Ito is a Summer region-name example, not the Autumn chest, and this page does not publish chest coordinates or a driving route for Ito, Takashiro, Shimanoyama, or any other hunt.

Check the current week on the Festival Playlist guide. A dated location report for one ended Shimanoyama week is on the Shimanoyama Treasure Hunt page, and it does not solve later hunts that reuse the name.

Step-by-step solution

Use this checklist when the chest is not spawning. Match the series and season on the in-game tile before you travel.

  1. Open the Festival Playlist and select the current Treasure Hunt.
  2. Activate that week's photo clue before you search. If the clue is still closed, the chest can be missing.
  3. Read the region on the tile. Shimanoyama, Ito, and Takashiro are examples of names the official table reuses, so an older route for the same name can describe a different week.
  4. Follow the photograph in the active clue. This guide does not list chest coordinates.
  5. If that week has ended, treat the chest as unavailable. Trust the in-game countdown; an exact weekly reset timezone is not stated here.
  6. If your clue is a parked car rather than a smashable chest, use the Treasure Cars guide. A Treasure Car is a vehicle discovery, not this weekly chest.

Reward

Treasure Hunts are often 100,000 CR per official Festival Playlist tables; confirm on this week's playlist. The same tables do not publish chest coordinates. This page does not restate XP or season-point values.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the Forza Horizon 6 treasure chest not spawning?

Activate the current Festival Playlist photo clue before you search. The chest can also be missing because that week has expired, or because a write-up for Shimanoyama, Ito, or Takashiro describes a different week that reused the region name.

Are the Ito, Takashiro, and Shimanoyama treasure hunts the same puzzle?

No. Those are region names the official playlist has reused for separate weekly Treasure Hunts. Horizon Meets Summer used Ito Region as the hunt name. That does not make Ito the Autumn location, and a Takashiro or Shimanoyama route from another week is a different clue.

How is a Treasure Hunt different from a Treasure Car?

A Treasure Hunt is the weekly Festival Playlist chest you smash after activating its photo clue. A Treasure Car is a separate vehicle you find from its own photograph. A chest landmark is not a Treasure Car location.

Can an expired Treasure Hunt week still be claimed?

Claim it while the Festival Playlist still lists that week. After the week ends, the seasonal chest can be absent, so the expired activity is not a way to collect that reward. Use the in-game countdown; this page does not state a reset timezone.

Is this Treasure Hunt page official?

No. This is an independent fan guide. Region names and the common 100,000 CR listing come from the official Festival Playlist table, and chest coordinates are not published here.
