Xbox Play Anywhere: Check the Storefront First

Quick answer

The digital Microsoft Store version of FH6 supports Xbox Play Anywhere across Xbox and Windows PC, including covered save and DLC entitlements. Steam remains a separate purchase.

Identify the product you own

Cross-save and Play Anywhere solve different problems. Save compatibility concerns progress; Play Anywhere concerns covered purchases on Microsoft’s supported devices. The store and account on the receipt matter more than an identical game title.

Suggested entitlement check

Use this before buying a second copy or investigating a missing pack.

  1. Locate the receipt or subscription access for the version you use.
  2. Confirm whether it came from Microsoft Store or Steam.
  3. Check that the destination device uses the account with that entitlement.
  4. Inspect the library and add-on listing before making another purchase.
  5. If access is still missing, preserve the product name and receipt details for official support.

Do not confuse a shared save with a shared license

Progress arriving on a device does not establish that its store grants the game or DLC. If you are moving between Steam and Xbox, review the FAQ’s separate-product and add-on rules rather than assuming Play Anywhere covers both stores.

Frequently asked questions

Does Play Anywhere include the Steam product?

The FAQ explicitly treats Steam as a standalone product. Check that distinction before assuming one purchase unlocks every PC storefront.
