Wheel Settings: Establish a Baseline Before Tuning

Quick answer

The official PC overview says wheels compatible with FH5 are also supported in FH6. Begin by confirming device detection and input behavior, then tune feedback gradually; this guide does not publish untested universal values.

Separate compatibility, detection and preference

A supported device can still need a correct connection or current official software. A wheel that is detected can still feel wrong because of its mapping or your preference. Diagnose those stages in order so a feedback change does not hide an input problem.

Suggested baseline check

Use a simple vehicle and a familiar short route.

  1. Confirm the wheel is recognized by its official software or platform.
  2. Inspect the game’s current input mapping and pedal behavior.
  3. Keep a note of the initial settings so changes are reversible.
  4. Test steering and braking at modest speed before adjusting force feedback.
  5. Change one available feedback control, repeat the route, and compare consistency.

Record symptoms for support

If the device is not detected, write down its exact model, connection method, platform and error. Do not apply another player’s numeric preset as a detection fix. Avoid downloading an unknown driver package to solve a problem that has not been identified.

Frequently asked questions

Are these verified Logitech G29 or direct-drive numeric presets?

No. This is a baseline and diagnosis workflow. Device-specific values require testing on the actual wheel; this page does not invent them.
