Touge Battles are mountain-pass races in Japan. Horizon Play’s Touge Showdown is a separate two-player, three-race championship; choose the matching activity before following a challenge requirement.
Identify the wording on your objective
The official progression guide names Touge Showdown as a multiplayer mode. A requirement using that name should not be assumed complete merely because you drove a mountain road or finished a different race.
Suggested preparation for a mountain route
Our practice plan favors readable braking and stable corner exits over chasing a claimed maximum speed.
- Check the event name and allowed car restriction.
- Choose a build that stays predictable when braking downhill.
- Learn a short section before trying to attack every corner.
- Look ahead through each bend and leave room for the next direction change.
- Review where mistakes happened before adding more power.
Keep mode results separate
When recording progress, note whether you completed a campaign event or a Horizon Play championship. That simple distinction makes it easier to diagnose a seasonal objective that has not moved.

Does driving any mountain road complete Touge Showdown?
No. Enter the named mode and check the objective’s completion wording. Free driving is not the same as its championship.
