Collection Journal: Choose the Right Progress Path

Quick answer

The Collection Journal records Festival racing and Discover Japan progress. Use its objective and reward entries to decide what to do next instead of treating player level, Wristbands and Stamps as the same counter.

Match the reward to its requirement

The official campaign guide describes the Journal as the place to track activities and claim their rewards. A higher overall player level alone does not explain why an exploration reward has not appeared. Read the particular objective you are trying to complete.

Suggested Journal review

Use a short review before a play session so that your route serves a specific goal.

  1. Choose one reward or unlock you want to work towards.
  2. Read its named activity and any completion requirement.
  3. Check whether it belongs to Festival racing or Discover Japan.
  4. Choose a nearby activity that contributes to that objective.
  5. Return to the entry after completion and check whether a reward needs to be claimed.

Avoid mixing temporary and permanent tasks

A seasonal Playlist tile and a Journal objective can refer to the same activity with different conditions. Keep the screens separate in your notes. A saved checklist on this website cannot update either counter in the game.

Which counter should I check for a Barn Find rumor?

Start with your Discover Japan Stamp and its reward entry. The Barn Find guide explains why that differs from a Festival Wristband.
