Creation and Customization

Race Customizer: Replay a Completed Event Your Way

Quick answer

Race Customizer unlocks for a race after its first completion. Use it to change a replay’s rules and conditions; it is different from creating a new route in EventLab.

Complete the original event first

The official campaign guide describes a per-event unlock. If you cannot customize one race, check whether that particular event has been completed rather than assuming completion of a different race unlocks every route.

Suggested practice replay

Choose settings that support one learning objective.

  1. Complete the selected race under its original requirements.
  2. Open that event’s setup and inspect the available customization options.
  3. For route learning, choose conditions you can repeat consistently.
  4. Adjust one factor, such as weather or lap count, and explain to yourself what it will test.
  5. Keep notes of the setup when comparing results with a later replay.

A custom replay is not proof of seasonal eligibility

A Festival Playlist can require its own event and car conditions. If your goal is a reward, enter from the relevant tile and confirm its rules. If your goal is a new route or obstacle course, choose EventLab instead.

Frequently asked questions

Does changing an event make it a new EventLab creation?

No. Editing a replay’s conditions and designing a new event are separate workflows. Use the tool that matches your actual task.
